How to Upload New Firmware for Dlink Dir-820l
DIR-820L & 850L, How to use them as repeater (Home Networking)

Hi Guys,
Sorry, newbie in networking-related matters. I have both DIR-820L & 850L router and i program to apply either i as a repeater to strengthen the signal of my internet connectedness (currently 2d floor has pretty weak signal).
I tried to turn the 850L into repeater style (via the option) but once i does information technology, I can no longer "access" the router to echo the indicate from the DIR-820L.
Does anyone know whats the easiest fashion to use either one as a repeater?

The IP address of the DIR-850L changes to 192.168.0.150 -I recollect - after y'all change it to repeater style.

Ah, i did not exercise it that way. My router supposingly had a repeater mode, and when that mode is selected, it was suppose to browse nearby connexion and it will use it as an access betoken i think.
Will endeavor again over the weekend.
Really not expert at it.

Hi, I but did update my 850L as Repeater.
1) Update Internet to "Repeater Mode" + Net Connexion with "Dynamic IP", so "Salve".
2) Once the router rebooted, use "192.168.0.l" to admission the Web Admin page to configure WiFi repeater. (PS: Update your LAN adapter with static IP range of 192.168.0.x, if you lot not able to access the folio)
3) Now you tin can site survey for WiFi repeater.
PS: If your SSID contain "@unifi", you need to utilize Chrome Developer tools to bypass the validation - search "if(/@unifi/.test(", merely run "errorMessage=''" nether the panel tab later on the "errorMessage" is set to ""Wi-Fi Name(SSID) is fault.". Yous may need to echo during "Save" and updating the SSID.

Yes, merely not VoIP and advise you change to a better router. 820l is very basic.

Y'all need your PPPoE username and password, and set to Maxis way. If Maxis style is non available, manually tag each port with VLAN621.

How-do-you-do, im unable to bypass the validation to put the "@unifi"... At that place's nil shown up under the console tab.

Howdy can you help me? After i alter to wifi repeater i cannot access to router page anymore. I cheque ipconfig it does not show in the listing as well
